The Magic of Food |
 |
|
| |
Why is 64% of the U.S. population overweight? Are we all really this obsessed with food or is there something else going on?
Adult women require about 2,200 calories per day and men require about 2,900 (assuming normal activities). If you take in more calories that you need, your body will convert those excess calories into fat. Over time, this excess fat becomes quite visible — and can become quite unhealthy.
But why do we take in more calories than we need?
We humans need a daily intake of 13 essential vitamins. Many of these vitamins cannot be manufactured by the body so we rely on outside forces to provide them. In a perfect world, these outside forces would be a variety of fresh fruits and vegetables. Fresh foods are the best source of vitamins and minerals and are excellent stabilizers. If you eat a couple of apples, bananas, or stems of broccoli (or any food in its natural state), you will quickly get your fill and there will be no more craving of these items. This is the natural way in which fresh foods work with your body to provide you the nutrients you need. This is not, however, the way processed foods work. Processed foods are designed to keep you wanting more..."nobody can eat just one!" Processed foods can be very addictive and so we eat a lot of processed foods.
Processed foods are easy to find, relatively inexpensive, convenient and taste great. Hard to argue with this!
But why is processed food so bad for us?
Because most processed foods contain no vitamins or nutrients that the body can use. They are referred to as "empty calories." Did you know that most people who are overweight and especially those who are clinically obese also suffer from malnutrition? Yes. This is true. Over time, the lack of nutrients will cause a multitude of health problems — from headaches, body pain, heartburn, fatigue, arthritis, on and on.
Now, if you are taking in more calories than you need or can burn and the majority of these excess calories are empty (void of nutrition), you can quickly see how health weight and problems begin and increase over time.
The Center for Beautiful Bodies is here to help you reduce the visible fat. In fact, we have some of the most sophisticated noninvasive expertise and technology in the world to do this, guaranteed! But...this is only addressing the symptom. Our goal is to help you become more healthy — and being healthy starts with proper nutrition, and proper nutrition starts with our diet. Because, once you've reduced the fat through our Lipo techniques, you’ll need a plan to keep it off — forever!
The best gift you can give your body:
- Eat fresh vegetables, fruits and meat (organic if you can) vs. foods that are processed (packaged foods, fast foods, many quick-serve microwave foods, etc.).
- Monitor your intake of fat. Less is better.
- Drink plenty of filtered water.
- Get at least 8 hours of sleep a night.
- Reduce or eliminate all refined sugars (white sugar, candy) — pay attention to the labels and you’ll quickly see how many products contain high amounts of sugar.
- Exercise — even a daily walk around the block

"Wow, what a difference. I'd seen the photos but I somehow didn't really believe there would be this much difference and so fast. And, the procedure was painless. I was a little nervous but Dr. Rassoli’s bedside manner took care of that. Thank you Dr. Rassoli — I'm a new person! I highly recommend this procedure and Dr. Rassoli to anyone who is interested in finally getting rid of that nasty bulge."
